Landlord Information

Registration
Landlords are required to register rented property, with the relevant
Local Authority. There is annual fee for registration.

Stamp Duty
If rent exceeds €19,046.71 per annum, the Lease is liable for a 1% Stamp Duty plus a stamping charge of €12.70 which is paid the Tenant.

Taxation
Rental income is taxable, so Landlords are advised to consult an accountant.

Insurance
It is the responsibility of the Landlord, to arrange building and content insurance and advise insurers of private dwellings, that tenants are now occupying the property.
